Building a Pan-African membership organization for Africa’s cocoa farmers.

We collaborate with cocoa stakeholders to achieve full cocoa sustainability that prioritize the interest of our smallholder cocoa farmers in African.

About US

The Cocoa Farmers Alliance Association of Africa (COFAAA) is a pan-African membership organisation of cocoa farmers from cocoa-producing nations such as Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Nigeria, Cameroon, Uganda, etc., to amplify their voices and unite cocoa farmers across the continent to foster collaboration, innovation, and solutions to the industry's most pressing challenges in collaboration with the cocoa origins governance institutions in Africa.

Our Mission

To unite cocoa farmers and advocate for cocoa farmers’ rights, provide capacity-building opportunities, facilitate market access, and promote sustainable and climate-smart agricultural practices across the cocoa value chain, provide genuine and subsidized inputs for cocoa farmers, improving cocoa farmer incomes and livelihoods, strengthening intra-African trade and value addition, promoting youth and women's inclusion and expanding Africa's presence in global cocoa markets

Farmers

COFAAA empowers cocoa farmers by providing access to modern, climate-smart training and resources that boost productivity and enhance livelihoods. Through capacity-building initiatives, tailored support, and advanced traceability systems, farmers gain the skills and knowledge needed to adopt sustainable practices, improve crop quality, and secure better returns in an increasingly competitive market.

Our Vision

A prosperous, sustainable, and inclusive cocoa farming sector in Africa that enhances the livelihoods of farmers and promotes environmental stewardship.

Governments

COFAAA works hand in hand with government bodies to drive policy reforms and create an enabling environment for rural development. By advocating for transparent pricing and supportive regulatory frameworks, we help governments stimulate agricultural growth, foster economic stability, and improve the quality of life for communities dependent on cocoa farming.

Importers and Exporters

Through our innovative cooperative marketing models and robust traceability protocols, COFAAA creates significant value for importers and exporters. Our approach ensures a consistent supply of high-quality cocoa, enhances market transparency by tracking the origin and handling of products throughout the supply chain, and fosters reliable partnerships. This collaboration not only secures competitive pricing in the global market but also builds trust and efficiency across the entire cocoa value chain.

Sustainability

At the heart of our mission is a commitment to sustainability—balancing economic growth with environmental stewardship. COFAAA promotes the adoption of innovative, eco-friendly farming techniques that reduce the impact of climate change, preserve natural resources, and ensure the long-term viability of the cocoa industry. This focus on sustainability not only safeguards the environment but also supports resilient communities for future generations.
